BRD Yardbird
Ingredients: - 1 1/2 oz Medoyeff Starka Vodka - 1 1/4 oz fresh watermelon juice, strained - 1/2 oz lemon oleo saccharum* - 1/2 oz Aperol - Soda water
Directions: Place all ingredients besides soda water into a cocktail shaker. Shake until icy. Strain and pour over some fresh cubes in a collins glass. Leave some room for a splash of soda water on the top for some bubbles and sparkle. Garnish with a small watermelon wedge.
*Peel 4 lemons, no pith, into a bowl. Strain the juice and use it to make the cocktail. Add a half cup of sugar and a couple drops of water. Stir and let sit for at least 3 hours to 24 hours. Strain into an airtight container, pressing on peels to extract as much flavor as possible.
