As promised…here’s the New York Sour (Oregon Style!) recipe, one of the cocktails that inspired the Rough Cut Soap Happy Hour soap summer release. New York Sour (Oregon Style!)
2 oz Bull Run Pinot Noir Finished American Whiskey
1/2 oz Oregon Pinot Noir
1 oz fresh-squeezed & strained lemon juice
3/4 oz Maple Sugar Simple Syrup*
Additional Pinot Noir for garnish
Directions
Add whiskey, Pinot Noir, lemon juice, and maple sugar syrup into shaker with ice and shake hard until well chilled.
Strain over a big ice cube in a rocks glass.
Slowly pour Pinot Noir over a bar spoon to float on the top of the drink.
*Maple Sugar Simple Syrup Use 2 to 1 ratio: Pour 1 cup of Crown Maple Sugar and 1/2 cup water into the saucepan. Warm at medium heat until the maple sugar dissolves. Keep in the refrigerator for up to one month.
